Here's to all the mothers, waiting for the bus, walking to the school, driving home from work, waiting to listen to all the stories and gather up the pieces of the day. Here's to seeing and hearing and affirming the value in each other. Here's to making home a hermitage. Happy Friday, friends.
Some people were less than thrilled with the decision to keep school open today.
My favorite Christmas print from the shop. Thinking tonight of all the brave ones who look injustice in the face, grapple honestly with lament, and then begin the hard, real work of sowing justice and peace where there is little or none. Advent pulls me to the practical, the ordinary ways my life reflects Jesus dwelling among us, and I want to be about that work around our table, in our neighborhood, around the world.
