You know how when you say any word too many times it starts to sound weird? Sometimes my own lettering, my own art starts to drive me a little batty and I have to walk away and let it be. Limitations give us room to grow, and I'm learning to embrace mine.
It's National Handwriting Day! I love to hand-letter pretty words, but even more than that I love finding handwritten treasures: a collection of recipe amendments my sister wrote out for me and tucked into a cookbook full of family recipes, handwritten notes from my grandmothers, the surprise of my late sister's loopy printing inside an old box of Monopoly. Write a little letter today and send it to someone you love. ️
