Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss, and props to my second grader for bringing home lengthy, obscure, (sometimes disconcerting), discontinued Seuss books from the school library every single week. by Annie Barnett | Mar 3, 2015 | inspiration
Attempting tunnel-building in the backyard. Hope your afternoon is full of sunshine & some kind of small adventure! by Annie Barnett | Feb 10, 2015 | inspiration
One of my favorite adventures this year: Every month I have the privilege of hand-lettering & creating a piece of art to accompany the soulful writing and styling of @thenester, @emilypfreeman & Gary Morland over at @hopeologie. These pieces aren't for sale anywhere else, but members can download as many times as they like! Love the community they're building. (All photos styled & taken by @thenester, except that campfire that snuck in there!) by Annie Barnett | Feb 3, 2015 | inspiration
You know how when you say any word too many times it starts to sound weird? Sometimes my own lettering, my own art starts to drive me a little batty and I have to walk away and let it be. Limitations give us room to grow, and I'm learning to embrace mine. by Annie Barnett | Feb 2, 2015 | inspiration
It's National Handwriting Day! I love to hand-letter pretty words, but even more than that I love finding handwritten treasures: a collection of recipe amendments my sister wrote out for me and tucked into a cookbook full of family recipes, handwritten notes from my grandmothers, the surprise of my late sister's loopy printing inside an old box of Monopoly. Write a little letter today and send it to someone you love. ️ by Annie Barnett | Jan 23, 2015 | inspiration
It's good to make art for no reason at all, to write out and draw out simple, little reminders. by Annie Barnett | Jan 22, 2015 | inspiration
